About

Built by a GP, with reception teams

Waymira started in a GP surgery, not a boardroom. It is being built and piloted with an NHS practice in Bristol, alongside the receptionists who use it.

Why we built it

Receptionists are often the first person a patient speaks to, and they are asked to make quick decisions about who should see whom, and how soon. As practices add paramedics, physician associates, pharmacists, physios and new pathways such as Pharmacy First, those decisions keep getting harder.

Waymira gives reception teams the right information at the right moment: your practice’s own rules, the relevant guidance, and clear words to say to patients, while leaving the decision with them.

Who’s behind it

Dr Jack Ogden, founder

Practising GP.

What we believe

  • Safety first. Red flags are checked before anything else, and when in doubt we escalate.
  • People decide. Software should support reception staff, not replace their judgement.
  • Show the working. Every suggestion should be explainable and traceable to a source.
  • Honesty. We won’t claim results we haven’t measured or approvals we don’t yet have.

Bring Waymira to your reception team

We are working with a small number of practices and PCNs on our pilot programme. We will set it up around your slot types and protocols, train your team and review it with you every week.
